Edwin was raised in Rural NSW on a large property, where he spent many of his early years alone in the vast open surrounds. He worked the land, tended cows, sheep and pigs and rode his horses; all the time dreaming and creating stories of Australian flavours. He did well at school and was popular for his sporting and dramatic efforts along with his passion for learning and high level of intelligence which he created as an avid reader from an early age and a curious conversationalist.
He left school early due to family breakdown and moved to the city of Melbourne where he again found learning and success in sales and marketing, using his flair for writing as a valuable tool of success.
He wrote his first novel at the age of 19 years old, BURDENED, with DARIUS DAWN following when he was only 21 years old. These first published novels are a closure of the commencement to his desire to be a writer. He continued developing his love of writing and learning ongoing. His desire to act and be involved in film also lead him into great experiences and development. He looks at life as a blessing to be lived not neglected.
Edwin J. McBride has been writing since an early age with over 35 years of writing experience that includes publishing for magazines, TV/radio and film, along with hundreds of blogs and website copy. He is a passionate creative soul who enjoys dining out, wine and exploring the wonders of the world, locally and abroad. He currently lives in Victoria with his beautiful wife and continues to write every day.
