Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a Bible teacher and author with two prior books under my belt. This is my first foray into classic fiction. I am mostly self-educated, with a reading proficiency in Hebrew, a mastery of Greek (able to read Josephus, Aristotle, Herodotus, etc.), and an interest in catastrophism, the electric universe, and ancient history. My hobbies include backpacking, mountain climbing, and reading. I love coffee, dark chocolate, good conversations, sunrises and sunsets, and mountains.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Rogue. The story was inspired by my desire to visualize the end of the age as illuminated by the Bible, the ancient records of catastrophism, and electric universe theory.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
Despite the plethora of cool, computerized tools, I still like to jot ideas on paper.
I need to have a cup of coffee handy, even if it sits half empty and cold.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
The Bible, Velikovsky, numerous titles on the electric universe and catastrophism. For fiction, as a teenager I read “Alas Babylon” and Pournelli’s “Lucifer’s Hammer.”
What are you working on now?
Volume two of the “Planets Shaken” series. “The Rogue” is volume one.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am working through the learning curve on promotion and marketing.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Content and presentation. All the marketing in the world can’t sell an unclear idea or a shoddy presentation.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
In the beginning, God…
What are you reading now?
Aristotle’s “Rhetoric” in the original Greek, “Obadiah” in the original Hebrew, “Stephen Hawkings Smoked My Socks” by Hilton Ratcliffe, and “The Baltic Origins of Homer’s Epic Tales” by Felice Vinci.
What’s next for you as a writer?
To finish the “Planets Shaken” series.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The Bible and three good books on survival.
