My book has been described by a reader as a “Grown Up Nancy Drew” book. It is set in Fort Lauderdale Florida and is a nice little mystery about a young woman and her friends who find themselves in the midst of strange circumstances surrounding Aunt Rachel’s gift, after her death, to Carra, of a mysterious box of very unique jewelry. A secret latch in the bottom of the box reveals a concealed compartment which shows the exact image as that engraved on a medallion and found under a tree in the backyard after a visit by The Bird That Sang At Midnight.
Hello readers, This is my first book and it was published just prior to my 79th birthday.
I was born on a farm in West Virginia, the youngest of 6 and nine years younger than my closest sibling. We moved to another farm in Ohio when I was six and I grew up there.
At sixteen I thought I knew just about everything and there having been no one in my family who had ever finished high school, much less gone to college I quit school. Bad move and I knew it immediately but it wasn’t until years later when my oldest son graduated from high school that I decided to correct my mistake. I went to night school and obtained my GED. That felt so good I signed up for some college courses and within three years had a BS in Accounting. That was 35 years ago. Since that time I have had many jobs and learned many things. Today at 79 I am still an active Real Estate Broker and a Wedding Officiant in the Fort Lauderdale area. I the mother of four, grandmother of ten and great grandmother or seven. Life is good. I live with a wonderful little dog named Molly and seven cats. I also feed the ducks. I am quite good with all things computer and I just received an Echo from Amazon for Christmas. I can be found on Facebook and Instagram.
