A 15-book series of novellas about a young WWII-era couple with a domestic discipline marriage, Charlie and Lydia. The series charts their “spanking marriage,” the challenges to their privacy posed by neighbors, having children, dealing with health problems, and so on in the context of a “spanking marriage,” as well as charting the ups-and-downs of their marriage generally and their respective acting careers from Winter 1948 to Fall 1963. Charlie is a loving, but firm husband, willing to spank his wife if she puts her health and safety at risk. Lydia is a bright, charming woman, who is fiercely independent, but willing to submit to her husband in this one area of their marriage, even though it means accepting periodic painful spankings. The two enjoy a loving, devoted marriage that seems set to withstand the test of time, as well as the unique challenges of making a “spanking marriage” work between two, opinionated, stubborn people.
From Book 1: The erotic story of a young actress and her actor husband, and her first loving, disciplinary, over-the-knee spanking at his very firm hand. …Lydia makes the mistake of walking home alone past midnight through Hell’s Kitchen after a theater performance, and arrives home to a frightened, upset husband, determined to not back down on an earlier promise to spank her if this ever happened again… Read how the well-suited and adoring young couple find a compromise to his determination to correct her dangerous behavior by giving her a very sore bottom, and her equal determination to not submit to the somewhat terrifying prospect of painful physical discipline and loss of personal control. See how the two come to a loving reconciliation, even though Lydia does indeed consent to ending up with a sore and stinging behind at her husband’s hand.
From Book 15: Charlie and Lydia face a serious health crisis, when Lydia starts having persistent, debilitating headaches. The specialists they consult seem as mystified as to the cause of the headaches and cure for them as Lydia and Charlie themselves. Meanwhile, Charlie prepares for a lengthy location shoot in Waikiki, and Lydia wants the family to join him, just as they usually do. Without talking it over with Charlie, Lydia doesn’t follow through with yet another specialist consult in L.A., and starts coping with her headaches by swimming (a great choice) and self-medicating with alcohol, a not-so-great choice. Once the family arrives in Waikiki, all appears well, with Lydia’s swimming skills improving enough for her to take scuba-diving classes. Then, suddenly everything spirals out-of-control when Lydia shows up for a scuba-diving class after downing two shots of vodka and gets pulled over later in the evening under-the-influence. Charlie turns to their old friend, psychiatrist Chris Lowry, for advice on getting Lydia’s health problems solved. But once Lydia is on the mend, the two must confront how to handle her serious and dangerous misbehavior in the context of their “spanking marriage.”

Sigrid Katrinsdatter is a pseudonym for an author who is a real-life “spanko.” Happily married for 20 years, with two beautiful daughters, the woman behind “Sigrid” has a decidedly alpha personality in every other aspect of her life other than spanking (where she is a contented “sub”), is a trial lawyer specializing in criminal defense, enjoys cats and dogs, and struggles with her attraction to and simultaneous discomfort with themes of domestic discipline in other authors’ works, as someone who believes wholeheartedly in female equality and full female agency. Yet readers will note “The Discipline for a Lasting Marriage Series,” makes clear DD appeals to her viscerally on some level as a fantasy, when administered by a dominant but clearly devoted and loving alpha male. Sigrid just launched the characters featured here — Lydia and Charlie — into a romantic series of spanking short stories and novels….up to 15 novellas and counting.
