When a cavewoman dubbed ‘The Missing Link’ was discovered it awakened a virus that changed half of all mankind into vicious monsters.
Kera Warren was a guest of New Hope Prison when it happened. On the day of The Turn she went out to find her son but he was nowhere to be found. The only thing she ever wanted was to protect her son but when he changed too, she lost all hope. In hopes of ending it all without having to do it herself, she began going on dangerous missions to find more supplies.
At first, no one knew why some people changed and some didn’t. When it was learned that human women could no longer have children they find out that the future is more bleak than they originally thought. Just when everyone thinks all is lost something was discovered that changed everything. The Links started to reproduce.
Kera loses a cherished friend but instead of wanting to end it all she realizes that she wants to live and help in any way she can. In the end, even though things looked way better than they did when it all began, the future was still uncertain. But at least Kera had found her purpose and a reason to be happy.
I started out writing screenplays and then made the transition into writing novels. I have self-published four on Amazon and Createspace and with each one, I feel that I learned something and therefore got better. I love sci-fi because I grew up watching Star Trek with my father. I’m a sci-fi child all the way!
