Frank Kelso grew up in Liberty, MO, Jesse James home town. Jesse invented drive-thru banking, but like many innovators, the sheriff took umbrage at Jesse’ ideas. The KCMO area is home to the Santa Fe Trail and the Oregon Trail. The area abound with historic trail sites. Frank has roamed the trail west (by car) and writes about his travels in his blog, Traveling the West. Reporting on the days progress at school each night at the supper table usually dissolved into a Tall Tales session. My Dad had too many stories for the boys to compete. Dad’s favor thing to say the people was “I have 8 sons and each one has a sister.” (How many children?)
