I spent my early childhood growing up in rural Worcestershire where my father was the Headteacher of the local village school.
At the age of 8 we moved into the city of Worcester where I attended St Mary’s Convent School. After A levels I went to Cardiff College of Education to train to be a teacher and it was also where I met my future husband. My specialist subjects where History and English.
After graduating as a teacher I got my first teaching job at a primary school in Yorkshire. Many years and numerous schools later (which also included having a family – 2 sons) I retired and set myself the challenge of fulfilling a lifetime ambition of writing a full length novel.
During my teaching career I had written some short stories which I read to my classes over the years and they always seemed to be enthralled.
My first novel – Carenza’s Journey – was the initial fulfilment of my literary ambition and to have my debut novel published was amazing.
Now bitten by the ‘literary bug’ I have had 2 more novels published. Carenza’s Heirs was the sequel to my first novel.
The Secrets of Westborough Hall is a completely new historical family saga.
