This book is a saga of intrigue, love, battle and survival in a near-future world of titanic East-West conflict. It begins in 2031. The world is divided between hostile superpowers–East and West. The Great Oil War between the two flares and ends. Both sides losing much.
Kantak Johnson, an Alaskan hero of that war, returns to Alaska, marries his sweetheart, and builds a highly successful robot manufacturing company named Robalaska, Inc. His daughter, Luanne, fascinated with robots, studies robotics and urges Kantak to build them even better. Eventually she and a special robot named James take over for Kantak as he moves into politics.
The powers that be urge Kantak to pursue a political career in Alaska. He does, and after serving terms as Governor he is chosen to represent Alaska in a newly-formed North American Parliament that convenes in Canada.
The sophisticated robots of the East and the West recognize that humans are warlike and that they exploit robots, turning them into weapons. The robots secretly rebel, and they “borrow” space ships from their creators, carrying themselves and the seeds of humanity to distant stars, where they build the foundations for a new civilization, one they call the Robosapiens.

Greetings! Glen E. Books is my real name. I grew up in a small town in Indiana, and my father introduced me to science fiction at an early age. I had the good fortune of a scholarship to MIT where I majored in Physics but spent most of my time on the debate team. Debate led me to law school at Columbia and a career at Bell Telephone Laboratories in its years of glory.
