IN SPACE, MEDICINE CAN BE MURDER
When Dr. Grace Lord, combat surgeon, lands her dream job aboard the Conglomerate’s Premier Medical Space Station – the Nelson Mandela – she can scarcely believe her good fortune. But when she steps onto the station and is attacked by patients who look like animals, is stalked by androids who look like humans, and is harangued by a mentor with Megalomaniac Hyperactivity Disorder, she wonders whether her dream job is actually a nightmare. When a mysterious vessel docks with the medical station, devoid of humans but full of suspicious-looking puddles, pandemonium ensues. The station is quarantined while there is a mad race to isolate the organism responsible. A cure must be found for the deadliest pathogen known to humankind, before the Conglomerate destroys the Nelson Mandela and everyone on it.

S.E. Sasaki is a GP who worked as a family doctor for over twenty years but now works in the operating room, assisting in surgery. She works evenings, weekends, holidays, and days. When she is not trying to catch up on her sleep, she is writing or painting. When she is not working, sleeping, or creating, she is off around the world, trying not to break bones or tear ligaments while she downhill skis, hikes, whitewater canoes and kayaks, rides horses and ostriches – actually only one, once – plays tennis, and scuba dives. Basically she is barely surviving as she tries to keep up with her husband. ;D She lives with two adorable Maine Coon cats named Bear and Chelsea and she is the proud mother of two of the coolest people on the planet.
