About A Warm Digital Scream
Isaac is a 34-year-old software engineer who gets told by his doctors that he has an incurable disease and only three months left to live. Defiant, he bets everything on the so-called “simulation hypothesis.” If the world is just a computer simulation, he should be able to exploit that by escaping or altering the code to fix himself.
Spoiler: Isaac does live in a simulation, and in his search he encounters so-called anomalies—people with inherent program malfunctions that let them break physical laws. In particular he runs afoul of a powerful psychokinetic killer, who makes it his mission to destroy Isaac.
Also hot on his heels is a ruthless, unstoppable artificial entity known as the Repairman, tasked with eliminating malfunctions along with any witnesses. As Isaac’s health keeps deteriorating, enemies close in and make it a frantic race against the clock.
