Author Bio:
Justine (B.S.K.) Sanders was born in Gary, Indiana, and raised in Mississippi, where childhood adventures, city challenges, and a sharp eye for human behavior helped shape the stories she loves to tell. She built an extensive academic foundation, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees in biology from Jackson State University, an associate degree in medical laboratory technology from Hinds Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi College, and a Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesiology from Xavier University.
Her academic path led to a career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, where precision, judgment, and calm under pressure became part of her daily work. Those same qualities now shape her suspense fiction, allowing her to build tension through layered motives, careful observation, and the small details that can change everything.
Sanders lives in Brandon, Mississippi, where childhood memories still remind her of the strength she gained early in life. Her adult son lives out of state, and she is a proud grandmother of three granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. Though separated by distance, their close bond continues to inspire her work and keep family at the center of her life.
