“Apocalypse DZ: Fire, lightning, and Dollarworld Zombies” is a modern-day fable that takes place in an alternate universe in which the rules that govern the world’s Economies have gone completely mad and have spun completely out of control. It is the world of one Doctor Prometheus, who heads the board of directors of the mega-bank, the largest and the most important financial institution of Dollarworld. As he first becomes the board’s CEO a sudden fiscal crisis emerges: that of an ever-increasing, seemingly insurmountable amount of National Debt. Unlike the previous CEOs before him, Dr. Prometheus does not merely print more money to solve the crisis. Instead he decides upon a much more extreme action. Late one stormy night, in the confines of a secret laboratory, he cleverly hatches his most dastardly scheme yet: to not simply “reboot” the dollar but rather to reanimate it, and to literally bring the national economy back to life from the dead.
Unwittingly, however, he also creates the prototype of a new citizen to occupy and promote the newly, resurrected Economy: the Dollarworld Zombie. Soon a plague of the legion of the Hordes of Dollarworld Zombies, under the command of Prometheus, quickly spreads throughout all corners of the known world. Anyone who is still human and who has not yet turned into an economic Zombie, is immediately threatened. As a final resort they set about conducting their own resurrection ceremony. They select, to be reanimated, the only person known throughout history to have any chance of defeating Prometheus at his own agenda. This man is one of history’s true geniuses, yet he has also been disparaged, shunned, derided and also similarly been regarded as a “disturbed” individual and a “mad scientist”. Throughout his lifetime, he has also secretly harbored his own grand near- meglomaniacal design for the future of mankind, one which, if successful, will drastically alter the face of the Earth and even that of Nature itself….
That man is the Serbian-born, American inventor, who created AC electrical power and feuded for decades with Thomas Edison and Guglielmo Marconi: Nikola Tesla.
The battle to decide the fate of the Earth is set, between the “fire” commanded Zombie hordes of Doctor Prometheus, and the electrical “lightning bolts” of Nikola Tesla, one of the most brilliant, elusive, and some would also say disturbed men in all of human history….
Partially a satire of zombie stories, the national debt, and the novel “Frankenstein”, this book is an informational fiction story that contains mythology, the development of electricity, and elements of the current nation’s economy. Although it is short, it is jammed full of facts, interesting information, and was heavily researched.
A must read for anyone who is a fan of the classic horror films of the 1930s or has any concern in the current state of affairs of the national debt, the trade deficit, or the overconsumption of consumer electronics.

I am 38 years old, have lived in New Jersey my entire life, and, in my spare time, like golfing, running, and reading. The last several years I have spent in researching a nonfiction book about the monuments in Washington DC. The self-published book “Apocalypse DZ: Fire, Lightning and Dollarworld Zombies” at Amazon Kindle is my first published story.
