Semeon Abera Kebede was born in 1986 to Ethiopian parents in the city of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He was forced to abandon his higher education from Medico Bio Medical Collage following the political unrest in his hometown and went abroad. Semeon has held several professions along the years in half a dozen countries including as a columnist for many news papers printed in Ethiopia. His first work of fiction, Bohemian Blues: A tale of Prague nights through the eyes of a drifter and a fashion icon was released in 2019
