My name is Clarissa Harlowe Barton. Maybe I will have a nickname like “Clara”. When I am 3 years old,
I go to school and do well in reading and spelling. In school, I have only one true friend because I am very shy and timid. Now, I am 10 years old. My brother falls off the roof of a barn. He has a bad head injury. I learn how to give medicine to my brother and how to place leeches on his skin to suck out the bad blood. The doctors say there is no hope for him. But, I keep on caring for him. He makes a full recovery. I saved his life!

When I retired in 2013, my wife said that I should write children’s books since I had been reading and telling so many stories as a teacher. Since then, I have published over 300 children's ebooks and paperbacks, over 200 audiobooks, and 15 hardcover books. I write both fiction and nonfiction children’s books in all genres. Using a child’s first name and interests, I have custom-written books for adults and children. I enjoy researching topics and writing books as well as writing books to someone's specifications.
