Do not let the word “Introductory” fool you. This book is unlike anything you have ever read before. That much I can assure you. It has a WIDE array of information from beginning to end, you will be surprised by the next chapter.
What are your limits ?! What are you willing to accept in life?! How strong is your mind? Are you constantly worried about failure? In this short book, you will learn much about yourself and others. It is packed with wisdom and life lessons from ancient history to the modern era. You will learn how to overcome fear in every aspect of your life to help you achieve the most valuable thing in the world, the purpose of your existence, whatever that may be. This is a short book that gets straight to the point. It’s no secret that the world we all coexist is not always a simple place to live, with fear being the #1 destroyer of all dreams and happiness.
Most importantly this little book will express the importance of a GROWTH MINDSET. With a growth mindset, you will quickly learn that limits are just another illusion. You will learn how kindness is the best possible mode of humility and humility is the best platform to learn from.
But, most importantly this book will explain to you just how vital knowledge, confidence and a growth mindset can be used to push through the fear. There is no limit in your achievement with a mind bent on improvement and the diligence to push through anything that stands in your way.!
I fought in the ring and cage for years. I have coached, and trained warriors and i have used some of this wisdom and knowledge to paint you a picture of what your life can look like if you but merely push through the fear.
I will be explaining why concentration alone can dramatically improve your life, leadership and those you encounter on a daily basis. We all innately understand that anything worth the effort will not come quick, or easy. Instead, i will show you the fastest possible way for you to earn the right to count yourself among those select few people who let nothing get in the way of accomplishment and their birthright, happiness. This ALL starts with kicking out Fear and adopting a growth mindset and a little bit of work to seal the deal.
I learned a while ago that a growth mindset is the only real cure-all to life’s many problems. I wrote this book for my family and quickly realized it can provide value to anyone.
My name is Matthew A. Hallock; you can call me matt.
I have spent much of my life on the edge in so many ways it may even take numerous books to paint you a picture.
I was raised in Northern Michigan, a land i like to think of as fire & ice ;). My high school mascot was that of a Scandinavian guy. He wasn’t a Viking or anything, just a red Scandinavian guy. Because, the Eskimo mascot was already taken. Lol
This should give you an idea of a Northern Michigan winter.
Lol Ok, I’ll get to the point now.
“Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast”-US Navy Seals
I have had so many hobbies in my life that I couldn’t possibly name them all here.
At an early age my life revolved around sports and competition.
My brothers and I were all seemingly like-minded in everything. And since we lived 10 miles away from our nearest neighbor and coming from a low-income family, we had plenty of time to build cohesion and do reckless things in the name of fun.
We started out dreaming of playing in the NBA and would often practice anywhere from 2-6 hrs per day. It became an obsession.
We were three boys dreaming of attending at least one NBA game before we died. Lol, We thought 100$ was more money than we could ever earn.
We all kept our passion for basketball, but eventually our new love was in serving as a Navy Seal.
Upon learning how demanding the training was, we jumped at the idea to find the limits of our ability. We would begin jogging and swimming for hours at a time.
Once, we took it further by jumping in a river 2 miles from home and in 30 degree temperatures we wanted to see if we could make it home without help or an ambulance. We made it, barely and now I both cringe and chuckle at the memory. Lol
A year or so later things took a hard right turn.
My father passed away in Florida, and my uncle committed suicide at our home.
However, A few hours before I was the last to see him alive. I was to bring him a dinner plate of fried chicken on my mother’s orders.
His lasts words to me were of pure hatred. I could feel the pain in his eyes staring at me. The words were so angry and cruel I failed to understand it completely.
I eventually forgave him in my heart and knew that the words were coming from a place of pain and fear.
However, I regret not trying harder to talk more with him. But, it’s all ancient history.
It was a little after this I began to work labor jobs on the side to buy a punching bag and boxing equipment. I wanted to start learning to be a warrior, and I trained day & night like a man possessed.
I eventually began training in a real gym, and i fell in love almost right away.
Over the years I have fought so many times on the street, and in the cage, i can’t for the life of me remember what my fight record is.
Honestly, i realized much later my only goals were to show my dominance over another person and mask my pain and fear.
My life has changed in many ways since then, and now i wish to help others find love, joy, faith and mental strength.
I am a firm believer in love and its raw strength. I believe love is the ONLY answer and hope for the human race (i hope that’s not too cheesy for you).
