Interview With Author Cris Oliveira
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Hi, I’m Cris Oliveira. Writing has always been my passion, and I am dedicated to creating stories that explore the complexities of human relationships, destiny, and the secrets that shape our lives. I am currently focused on my latest series, Daughter of Destiny, which combines romance, mystery, and emotional depth. I am constantly learning and refining my craft to bring the best reading experience to my audience.”
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
“My latest book, ‘Daughter of Destiny: The Accident’, was deeply inspired by my daughter, who is currently studying medicine. Seeing her dedication, the long shifts, and the relentless determination she shows while chasing her dreams gave me the perfect foundation to create Dr. Helena Meireles. I wanted to capture not only the challenges of her profession but also the strength required to navigate a world that is so demanding. The story explores the intersection between her high-pressure reality and a life-changing encounter with a powerful family, showing how one simple moment can redefine everything.”
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
“I find that I write best in complete silence, often early in the morning before the rest of the world wakes up. I also have a habit of reading my dialogue out loud to ensure the emotions feel authentic and the flow is natural. It’s a simple process, but it helps me really step into my characters’ shoes.”
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have always been deeply influenced by masters of contemporary romance and emotional storytelling. Authors like Nicholas Sparks have had a significant impact on me, especially in how they balance intense personal journeys with profound, life-changing love stories. Their ability to make readers feel every emotion alongside the characters is something I constantly strive to achieve in my own writing.”
What are you working on now?
“I am currently focusing on the development of the Daughter of Destiny series. I am finalizing the upcoming volumes to ensure the emotional arc and the mystery surrounding the Montenegro family unfold in the most compelling way possible for my readers.”
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I believe the best approach is a combination of active engagement on social media platforms where readers gather and utilizing professional promotional sites like Awesome Gang. Building a direct connection with my readers and being visible in communities that appreciate romance and emotional storytelling has been essential to growing my
Do you have any advice for new authors?
My advice is to stay persistent and true to your voice. The writing journey can be challenging, but there is an audience for every story. Don’t be afraid to write, revise, and then revise again. Most importantly, connect with your readers and other authors—this community is a great source of strength and learning.”
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
The best advice I’ve ever heard is to ‘write the book you would love to read.’ This reminds me that when you write from a place of genuine passion, it resonates much more deeply with the reader, and it keeps me motivated even during the most challenging parts of the writing process.”
What are you reading now?
I am currently reading books in the contemporary romance genre to further explore how different authors build emotional tension and compelling character arcs.”
What’s next for you as a writer?
My goal is to continue expanding the Daughter of Destiny series and exploring the deep emotional connections within the Montenegro family. I am also looking forward to engaging more with my readers and potentially starting new projects that delve into other aspects of human resilience and
