Author Bio:
For many years, Johnell had a passion for helping young people and served in various churches and youth ministries. It was during time spent with her grandson, Malachi (“Kai”), that God sparked the idea and vision for the D Squad. Looking at life through a child’s eyes, that spark grew! D Squad is a culmination of Johnell’s own lifelong experiences, her competitive background of having earned a black belt in Judo, and life lessons learned from working with young people.
