Interview With Author E.C Zephon
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am E.C. Zephon, a self-taught, self-employed independent author who builds complex literary universes from the ground up on my own terms. I create modern magic realism, dark fantasy, and gritty speculative fiction centered around multi-dimensional Black characters navigating deep psychological, real-world, and spiritual landscapes.I write because it is my divine purpose and my avenue for peace. I operate entirely on faith, patience, and grace, bypassing traditional mainstream templates to keep my creative vision completely uncompromised.I have written and published two main books that form the foundation of my growing literary footprint. 4 all together Repaired Redemption, Words That See, The Written Soul Season One & Two.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
The Written Soul Season Two. Ultimately, it was inspired by a calling to step away from mainstream commercial formulas, protect my personal peace, and build a permanent, uncompromised literary legacy of self-reliance to pass down to my children and future grandchildren. The book was built to flip traditional fantasy on its head by creating a modern, gritty universe where Black characters wield magic wands, manage professional careers, and handle real-world issues while navigating heavy, unseen psychological and spiritual forces.
