Alvin Hawkins is a poet, urban fiction writer, and author of the new series Voice of a Black Sheep.
A professionally trained electrician and plumber born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Alvin has spent the last decade writing essays, letters, poetry, and urban fiction giving his characters a palpable, down to earth feel and spark that only experience can deliver. His latest work, Dear My People, is the third installment in his Voice of a Black Sheep series.
