About Entrapment In Oestragar by S. E. Ney
When Dr Alex Oslac is tasked with archiving the Herabridge school history to celebrate its 500th anniversary, she encounters a past master of the school who died in World War 1. From that moment she is haunted by dreams of past lives in his company throughout history. Worse, when she looks up the details of those dreams she finds them all to be true. An accident on a school trip propels her into a new world where she discovers her dreams were reality and anything is possible — a visit to Ancient Greece, sailing aboard the Titanic and trips to the future. But all of it is at risk because the machine that runs reality is failing. Together with Daniel, her constant travelling companion, they try to fix the system, but there’s more at stake than even they realise.

A former teacher who spent over 35 years in education, I did my PhD on The Logical Possibility of Time Travel (available on Durham Ethesis). I was raised surrounded by SF/Fantasy thanks to my brother, cover artist Tim White. Passionate about philosophy and history, I wanted to write something that allowed me to explore those ideas and times that interest me the most. This trilogy was the result. The story is resolved by the end of book 3, but I created a universe so huge anything is possible, so now I'm working on book 4 that uses the same key characters but on an entirely new planet, as a new species and in a different universe. Believe it or not, this can be done! I fell in love with these characters and couldn't leave them with so many adventures left unlived. In my spare time, I love movies (b/w classics to the latest blockbuster), the ancient world, sci-fi and hi-tech. Rather than favourite authors, I have favourite books. I love stories with twists or that make you think, especially if they provide a wild ride where you can escape the real world into a place that is, if not better, then at least different. Right now I'm enjoying Terry Pratchett and the St Mary's Chronicles by Jodi Taylor. Recent reading has included Time and Again by Jack Finney and Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose as well as several books on Ancient Egypt. I've been writing for myself and my friends for over 40 years, slowly honing my technique, but this is my first foray into publishing.
