About Find Me in the Dark
For thirteen years, Celeste and Atticus have survived the eternal night of Sorrowsway, training in the frost to outrun the predatory entities that hunt in the dark. Bound by an unspoken love, they know that in a sunless world, naming what you cherish makes it a target.
But when the shadows finally breach their clearing, Celeste is ripped from safety and chained to a stone altar by an ancient master of time.
Through a silver cauldron of dark water, she is forced to watch Atticus’s desperate, violent hunt to rescue her. But the magic carries a catastrophic price: Every step he takes toward her reaches into her chest and erases a piece of her mind. To build a bridge to her trapped lover, Celeste must deliberately sacrifice her most precious memories of him.
The tragedy of their love is absolute: The closer he gets to saving her, the less she remembers who he is.
Perfect for fans of One Dark Window and dark, angsty romantasy, Find Me in the Dark is a gripping, high-concept tragic romance where the ultimate enemy isn’t the monsters in the woods—it is time itself.

Author Bio:
S.P. Ragland writes the kind of dark, gritty fantasy where survival is a luxury and the world is always pushing characters to give up—but they refuse to break. Heavily inspired by the epic stakes of The Lord of the Rings and the dark, visceral tone of Berserk, Ragland crafts atmospheric worlds built on resilience, sacrifice, and tragic romance.
A soldier with nearly sixteen years of active-duty Army service, Ragland began writing this debut novel as a way to pass the time and find a sense of center during a first deployment to Afghanistan in 2012. Over the next fourteen years, the manuscript traveled across seven states and South Korea before finally being completed in Iowa.
When not planning military strategies or untangling dark fantasy timelines, Ragland can be found surviving on black coffee and being actively shadow-tagged by Becky, a very affectionate velcro pitbull who refuses to leave the author's side.
