About Foggy Panes by Thea Winthrop
Edle Amalie of the House of Shrötterburg’s life has stood still for far too long. Spending her time at glittering social events, raising her niece, and rendezvousing with her domineering lover, Amalie had yet to realize how she clouded herself into a state of monotony.
When the three people Amalie holds most dear start moving towards their own futures, she finally recognizes how her past difficulties may be holding her back. Will this edle be able to find a way to grow once more, or will Amalie be left behind in the illusion of happiness she has created for herself?
Follow a nineteenth-century woman on her escapades of submission to her paramour. Filled with escapades in misty greenhouses, dark alcoves, and candlelit bedrooms, Amalie navigates the consequences of forbidden love, both in her own life and the lives of queer loved ones.
Set in the dazzling world of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Foggy Panes is a titillating dive into perceptions of love. A rowdy narrative unfolds of forbidden, unconventional, and kinky adoration. A meticulous edler tries to make his way in the word, two men struggle to find each other, and an edle finds her own path.
