For many years, I dreamed of a mysterious mountain, so I finally decided that I must find it. Accidentally, I came across the Mountain from my dreams on a photo site and learnt that it is Mount Machapuchare, located in Nepal. Come to find out, it is sacred to the locals, because they believe that gods live on its summit. After receiving a few more signs, I decided to embark on a journey to the Mountain. Along the way, I had many adventures, met interesting people and caught a glimpse of the elusive Shangri-La. I invite you to come along on that adventure with me as I describe interesting and funny moments of my travels to Nepal and other countries.

Pavlo Kuzyk is a writer, journalist, scientist and photographer. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Florida, but he’s not your average scientist. Pavlo is a bit of an adventurer and loves traveling, especially to exotic destinations. Just to name a few, his ventures have led him to Madagascar, Fiji, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Cambodia etc. Pavlo doesn’t like experiencing places from just a tourist viewpoint, so he gets to know the locals, goes on hikes or travels by local transportation and explors unusual food and customs. Along the way, Pavlo takes tons of photos, which are later organized into personal photo exhibitions (he already had thirteen) and used for the articles that he writes and publishes about travels and nature.
