Ivory Joyce takes us into the depths of Detroit’s roughest neighborhoods. Brightmo’, “The Eastside” & The Hole- BMF’s very own Big Meech & Terry’s hometown.
Joyce introduces you to big ballin’ Kamar. Crybaby Trink. Dope boy Milt & sexy Cherry. She delves deep into the psyche of each character, giving us just a little taste to keep us thirsty for more.
Sex, drugs, murder, betrayal & deceit run rampant through the lives of the crew. Newbie Jasmine throws everyone for a loop. Is she the good girl that she portrays to be? Or is she a murderous snake trying to run up a check?
Who is Cherry sleeping with and how will things go over when their relationship is exposed? You’ll find out the answers to all of these questions in A Day’s Work.
Note: This novella (short novel) is an introduction to volumed series. Joyce has been sitting on this project since 2017. Determined to construct a full on novel, A Day’s Work has been on the shelf. At her reader’s request, her project is being released unfinished. Even in rough (and that’s a gross overstatement) form, Joyce delivers.
You’ll be waiting for Vol. 2 with baited breath.
