Lucinda Davis is also the author of a children’s book she published in 2014, “The Thought That Wanted To Be A Thing”. She was a singer/songwriter that was offered a promising career with Universal Records. Davis turned down the offer with the record company since she was a single mother and taking care of her elderly parents. The deal they offered her would not allow her the freedoms that she desired. Davis produced an album titled “Country Girl” by Cindy Black and “Hear Our Cry”.
Lucinda Davis shifted her career to writing books. She is currently writing the next Goose Island book and also working on some more children’s stories. Davis comes from a talented family of musicians and artists. She enjoys painting and drawing along with many other enriching hobbies. Her distant relative James Milton Black wrote the gospel song “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder”, an old time favorite of many.
