About Helsgaard’s Fury by George Toft
After halting the Aelfinn invasion, Lozen hoped for rest. Instead, Helsgaard’s fragile peace shatters when Draugar rise from a Dwarfinn trading post—twisted corpses animated by Necromancers from the Orc lands. Villages burn. Forests rot. And something darker moves behind the curtain of death.
With the King’s court and spies watching, Lozen must lead an ambush deep into hostile terrain. Her mission: destroy the Necromantic puppet masters before the Horde devours the realm. But politics prove more dangerous than war, and the price of peace may be higher than anyone imagined.
Dragons circle the skies. Loyalties fracture. And Lozen’s body and mind begin to change in ways she can’t explain.
As the Draugar Horde advances and the dead rise again, Lozen must wield blade, bow and wit alike—if she hopes to protect the living.
Even if it kills her. Men make plans and Loki laughs.

Author Bio:
George Toft writes grimdark military Norse fantasy with the kind of brutal precision you'd expect from someone who spent 20 years in the military. Raised in snowy Colorado but allergic to cold and complacency, he now lives in Phoenix, Arizona stirring the pot—because hellfire heat is still better than shoveling snow or getting buried in an avalanche. Don't ask.
His debut novel, Helsgaard’s Heroine, didn’t just storm the gates of fantasy—it earned a spot on the Grand Prize Shortlist Award for the 2024 Novel90 Writing Challenge. He’s also the mind behind several grimdark screenplays (too raw for daylight), and a stack of technical articles written in a former life when things still made sense.
When he’s not forging blades and betrayals on the page, George can be found camping off-grid, overlanding into nowhere, or touring in his MINI Cooper with the Norse tats.
If you’re looking for cheerful Aelfs and happily-ever-afters, keep scrolling. If you want grit, fire, and honor scraped raw—welcome to Helsgaard's Keep.
