Accustomed to the finer things in life, Lillian Jennings gets knocked down a few pegs when her father sets his sights on greener pastures. Left to fend for herself, she has little time to spare for the opinions of fair-weather friends. Figuring out how to make ends meet is a never-ending struggle. Despite the obstacles thrown in her way, Lillian must achieve her MBA goal or risk having her light dimmed forever.
What she hadn’t expected was the reappearance of a frenemy with his own hurdles to overcome.
Years ago, Aidan Covington put his career goals on hold and accepted a position in his family’s hotel business. Everyone is pleased with the arrangement except him. After witnessing Lillian’s resolve, his ambitions resurface. As he questions the sacrifices he made to appease his family, he begins to redefine what is possible for him.
When Prince Charming joins forces with an independent Cinderella, two unlikely allies must conquer opposition from callous adversaries to attain the lives they were meant to live.

Natasha Lockhart is the pen name for a former primary school teacher. After completing eleven years as an educator, she decided to pursue her dream of being a writer. Her love of historical novels began in fourth grade when she was introduced to the books of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Since then, Natasha has been time travelling through literature and enjoying every minute of it. Her obsession with romance novels came years later after a couple of less-than-satisfying relationships. Books detailing the happily ever afters of fictional characters were like an oasis in the desert during her single years.
Natasha is now happily married and the mother of two precocious daughters and one laid-back son. When she’s not writing or tending to her husband’s demands, she works as an on-call chauffeur, personal assistant, and cheerleader for her three children.
