Thirteen-year-old Sori didn’t know her purpose in life…that is, until she and her best friend are sent into an unknown world called the Inner Sanctum. The two teenagers soon discover that the fate of this realm of dreams hangs in the balance. An evil nightmare ruler has dominated over half of the dream world, and if he succeeds in his quest for power, the whole world will dream of nothing but nightmares forever! Will these unlikely heroes be able to save the Inner Sanctum from certain doom?
Being described as “powerful,” “a must-read” and “Narnia for the 21st century,” this first book in the Inner Sanctum series will captivate 10-14 year olds in this epic world of sci-fi fantasy!
Abraham Luckey is an author, artists and musician from the United States. He began writing at the age of 13 and he published his first original novel, “Inner Sanctum: Reality,” at the age of 18. His goal is to provide young tweens and teens with exciting and adventurous novels that are clean and have positive messages of hope and overcoming life’s struggles through Jesus Christ.
Abe Luckey has this to say about his work with Inner Sanctum:
“I started writing the ‘Inner Sanctum’ series because, as a child, my parents had a difficult time finding something decent for me to read. It seemed everything that was geared toward boys always seemed to have crude humor, foul language or other types of inappropriate content. It was a shame because my mom and dad never had a hard time finding something clean for my sisters to read. Apparently people think that they need to put a bunch of disgusting jokes in a book in order for it to be considered a ‘boys’ book.
“Then I had a dream that changed my life. Needless to say, it was very strange and didn’t make much sense, yet at the same time, it inspired me so much that I knew I had to do something with it. I immediately wrote down the dream after I had it and started developing characters and story plots. It was originally going to be a movie but I eventually started making it a book instead. Over the course of the next three years, the story changed drastically from what it was originally…and I mean literally EVERYTHING changed. I now plan on using the original ideas that I had for the story as a prequel to the first novel.
After five years of writing, proofreading and LOTS of editing, the book was completed in late 2016. There was a company that was interested in publishing it, but we decided to go the self-publishing route instead.
“This series has changed my life forever. I have bonded with the characters and their storylines, to the point where they almost feel real to me. More than anything, my desire for the Inner Sanctum series is for it to help people who are hurting. I want people who are going through things like depression, anxiety or fear to read it and realize that they can overcome every struggle that comes in their way. As someone who has gone through a lot of personal battles myself, I want them to realize that they are not alone and that they can experience true victory as long as they ‘Don’t Stop Believing!'”
