About Isabella/the Jade Warrior
A lonely twelve-year-old girl with special gifts she’s unaware of befriends an ancient celestial dragon who takes her and her family on a magical and perilous journey to the Far East to find its lost mate before their enemies do.
Isabella Treehorn, a gifted but lonely 12-year-old girl of mixed heritage, finds out she has the gift of telepathy and powers of Chi from her mother Jacqui who knows her time on Earth is about to end because of a curse that has killed alternate females in the family since their ancestor, the Princess Dasyn of the Jade Dynasty. Jacqui gives Isabella the family Jade Amulet to keep with her. Having nightmares after her mother is killed in front of her and her brother Kaelyn, Isabella begins to see a dragon who speaks to her.
Tianlong, the dragon is excavated in the mountains of Mongolia by greedy Paleontologists Miles and Yang who look to capitalize on Tianlong, through exhibits worldwide. After the death of their mother, Isabella and Kaelyn move in with their eccentric uncle named Titus, a man of the outdoors.
When the Ming Dragon comes to her town, Isabella and Tianlong talk to each other through telepathy as Tianlong tells Isabella it was destiny that’s brought them together. Tianlong tells Isabella he can speak and tells her and her family how the curse came about and that her life is in danger from the evil demons the Lords of Death who were responsible for destroying the kingdom and hunting down the dragons to extinction except for Tianlong and his mate Ling Ling who escaped.
Isabella tells Titus of her powers to connect to the dragon which he doesn’t believe until
Isabella is attacked in her bedroom by the demons. Titus enlists the help of an old girlfriend, a Chinese Witch named Grace, and her cousin Simon Lee, a Zen Master, and Martial Artist. Grace and Isabella pull an elaborate scheme to free Tianlong from the exhibit by shrinking it down to the size of a small lizard and hide him away at the house.
Tianlong tells the family he must go to Mongolia to find his mate Ling Li who escaped with him and still may be alive. The family pulls up stakes and journeys to the Far East to find Ling Li while being hunted by the Lords of Death and Miles and Yang, who will stop at nothing to get Tianlong back.
The family faces one peril after another and realizes that they must rely on each other and Isabella’s growing command of her powers to pull them through.

Michael Anthony Phillips was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 20, 1961. His father worked as a Private Investigator and was an avid classic movie watcher who kept Michael up late at night watching movies with him. As a kid Michael and his brother Sam stayed up late nights listening to the Mystery Theatre the radio that carved Michael’s fondness for great storytelling.
Michael enjoyed playing Baseball as a youth and played all the way through College and being invited to several Major League camps for tryouts. Affected by the tragic death of Bruce Lee on his birthday in 1973, Michael became an avid Martial Artist and when he knew it was now or never to follow his dreams, Michael left his hometown to be an actor in Hollywood, and to study martial arts with Bruce Lee’s former students in the late 90’s through the next decade.
After working on countless television shows, videos, films, and commercials, he decided to try his hand at writing, and started screenwriting and writing short stories for various literary magazines.
Michael’s mother played a key role in his life while he pursued his craft, providing a place to stay when he came home from the West Coast, and peace of mind from multiple distractions.
After a decade in Hollywood, M. Anthony decided to put his acting aspirations on hold and returned to St. Louis to write fulltime. Having a passion to write about things that today’s Hollywood fail to grasp; M. Anthony is inspired to do things his way.
