Interview With Author linda viba
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am an independent writer focused on developing structured approaches to horse racing and greyhound racing strategy.
At the moment, I have written two ebooks:
one focused on UK horse racing betting systems, and another covering greyhound racing systems.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My latest ebook focuses on structured betting systems for horse racing, bringing together a collection of approaches designed to improve discipline and consistency.
It was inspired by the idea of creating more structured thinking around betting decisions rather than relying on instinct or randomness.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I tend to focus heavily on structure and clarity, often breaking ideas down into simple systems rather than writing in a purely narrative style.
I usually refine and test concepts repeatedly before putting them into a final written format.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I have been influenced by authors who focus on logic, systems, and behavioural decision-making, particularly in areas involving probability and structured thinking.
What are you working on now?
I am currently exploring additional structured systems related to racing and decision-based betting approaches, with a focus on refining clarity and usability.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
At the moment, I am focusing on a combination of online communities and ebook discovery platforms where readers already have an interest in non-fiction and strategy-based content.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Focus on clarity and consistency. Rather than trying to be overly complex, aim to communicate ideas in a way that readers can actually apply or understand easily.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
To focus on building something useful and clear rather than trying to impress everyone at once.
What are you reading now?
Currently exploring material related to systems thinking and behavioural decision-making
What’s next for you as a writer?
I plan to continue refining structured approaches and expanding into additional system-based writing in the future.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Books focused on probability, decision-making, and survival-based thinking would be my preference, as they combine practicality with reasoning under pressure.
