Author Bio:
… I was born in Ukraine, and I suppose everything really began there. I grew up surrounded by very strong traditions—my babushka especially had a big influence on me. She taught me so much about food, health, and just how to live in a way that feels… grounded, you know? Nothing was wasted, everything had a purpose.
Later in life, I went into a completely different direction professionally—I studied engineering, in optical and physical sciences. It sounds very technical, and it was, but I think what it really gave me was curiosity. I’ve always questioned things, explored, tried to understand how everything works—not just machines, but life too.
That curiosity took me across different countries and industries. I’ve collected so many experiences along the way—skills, stories, people… I always say I’ve been a student of life more than anything else.
Now I’m in a quieter stage of life. I have two children and two grandchildren, which I’m very proud of. I try to stay active—I do my morning exercises every day, I love dancing, and I’m always learning something new. I don’t think that ever stops.
In the summer, I love having guests. I show them around, share how I live, cook for them—it brings me so much joy. It’s simple, but meaningful.
And my books… they’re really just me sharing all of this. The old knowledge from my babushka, the practical things I’ve learned, the way I see the world now. I like to think that if even one person reads it and feels inspired to live a little more freely, a little more naturally, then it’s all been worth it.
