Interview With Author Luis Cintrón
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a debut author who as of today has published one book. The second part is already finished and edited which will come out this year!
I am an avid music listener, metal drummer, certified pharmacy technician and assistant veterinary, cat dad, and husband. I discovered my love for reading about a year ago as I finally gave it a try and since then I read every single day.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Infernal Skies: The Reckoning Legacies. My book takes place in a world ruined by nuclear war and since then the sky has turned red. The characters have been used in my notes since over a decade ago and each with their backstories. Completely for fun(super nerd stuff, I know). That’s why I feel, and the reader will feel, they each can be the main character or have their own book as well.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write on my phone and play out the scenes in my head. I don’t outline anything. I write the story as how the characters take me on their journey. It’s like I am taking notes of their actions and words.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I absolutely loved Dungeon Crawler Carl and since it’s a good story that mixes in humor, I aim to do the same to keep the reader engaged. And obviously, Tolkien’s Lord of The Rings.
What are you working on now?
Finishing the second part and conclusion of the story, titled “Infernal Skies: The Three Frontiers”.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I am learning as I go, but I mostly post my book stuff on social media.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Do not do what I did for my debut! I published without any social media precense, without beta readers, ARC, without promo, etc. I only wanted to get my story out there but I basically shadowdropped it. And when you’re an unknown like me, not even my close family knew about it.
What are you reading now?
Close to finishing 1984. Next will be The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
Dungeon Crawler Carl series or Lord of The Rings.
