Interview With Author Netty Sherer
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a brand-new author and my first published book was a cookbook which links to my Clear Creek series i am emersed in writing right now. Book one, Falling for Clear Creek comes out 12/20/2026 but is available for pre order now 🙂
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Falling for Clear Creek was inspired by me moving from a larger city to a town of less than 40 people and the tight knit community that comes with that along with the how i met my husband. a lot of the characters are inspired by active people in my immediate life like my coworkers and my family members.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I write with humor and self-depreciation LOL. my characters have internal monologues that you get to see throughout the chapters as well.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Allison Speka is my favorite writer of all time followed by Abby Jimenez. I love their heavy banter and comedy. I have punched Abbys books when characters have pisssssed me off LOL. she writes with emotion that no other writer ( I feel) does. Colleen Hoover is another inspiration though, i do not write like her.
What are you working on now?
Finishing my final edits on Falling for Clear Creek book one in my 5 book planned series!
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
Right now, i am so new so i am not sure. I do have a website and i plan to get my books in local bookstores! Right now i have only published the companion cookbook that goes alongside my series.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Don’t give up!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
If you dont write it, the story remains in your head forever and no one gets to enjoy it.
What are you reading now?
nothing right now 🙂
What’s next for you as a writer?
Book two in the series! Darcy’s story!
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
omg ! does my kindle count as a book! lol! I would bring 1. Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin, “Comfort zoned” by allison speka, and “Regretting you” by Colleen Hoover.
