Panhandlers, rapscallions, desperadoes, horn-swagglers and nitwits – my kind of people.
In this collection of twisted shorts an array of schemers, dreamers and dodgy-dealers have all been hoisted by their own plans and ambitions, and must either accept their fate or contrive and connive their way out:
Did Jinny push him over the edge, on a dark and stormy night off the English coast?
Will Bruce succeed in his plan, with his unusual threesome on a Mediterranean cruise?
What about Charlie, can he keep the money or will it follow his best friend, into a hole in the ground?
Is Craig’s relationship on the rocks in a breezy, romantic Cornish holiday?
There’s a possibility that these, and other questions, will be answered in this collection of carefully crafted short stories.
** Bonus – My memoir of surviving lifelong depression, ‘Getting By’, is also free on Amazon between 6th and 7th September **

Jack Trelance – now in his sixties and a UK expat – lives with his wife in a modest bungalow in the rural north-east of Thailand.
As well as his short story collections covering twist-in-the-tail fiction, the near-future and mental health, he has also written Getting By, a short memoir about surviving and understanding lifelong depression.
When he's not writing he splits his time between reading, cycling and gardening.
He shares his garden with lizards, scorpions, fat toads and the occasional snake, and is still trying to talk his wife into buying a dog.
