About Puzzle Pieces, Fences, & Fortune Cookies: And Other Ways to Live Everyday Life in the Spirit by Brenda Cobb Murphy
This book will be free as an eBook for the 3 days of Tuesday, June 12, 2018 through June 14, 2018.
Did you know that God gives you puzzle pieces? Once they’re connected they’ll show you a picture of how involved he is in your life.
How many fences have you built around yourself? We need fences to give structure to life’s chaos, but those fences can quickly become a prison.
Are you aware that you daily write fortune cookies for yourself? Your fortunes have more power than you can imagine.
Each chapter shares something that you can take away with you to further your own walk with Jesus. For example:
In “Rut-Busters” I talk about allowing our lives to get into a rut, and nine of the characteristics of God that are instilled in us (beyond the usual ones we hear about).
“In Your Right Mind” talks about whether you’re living in default or not. Our physical body responds to our emotions, what emotions are you living by?
“Those Fearsome Mountains” tell what God showed me the night I was overwhelmed by my fears.
In “The Time of Your Life” I talk about the seasons of our lives and what season you might be in right now.
“Pulling Weeds and Swatting Bugs” shows the difference in the beautiful big picture and getting close up where you see the weeds and bugs of life.
In “Cinderella, Superman, and Sinbad,” I talk about three aspects of the Christian Life and what they look like, plus how we need to include all three of them.
At salvation God gave you your own personal backpack of physical and spiritual things that will help you on your walk of Adventure. In “Don’t Just Carry Your Backpack—Open It!” I talk about this backpack and what’s in it.
“Dreamschool Lessons for Life” are some of the lessons I’ve learned from dreams God has given me. For example, how the supernatural has certain principles that work so learn them and use them. Don’t carry baggage around with you just because you’re too distracted or busy to lay it down, & stop trying to put your make-up on yourself.
In “Where is Your Baby?” I talk about how we all have a baby, that is, the part of our soul that, without acknowledging or expressing it, leaves us feeling empty and unfulfilled, even if we don’t recognize that feeling for what it is.
These 30 chapters are chock-full of tips and experiences on walking daily with Jesus.

Author Bio:
As a missionary kid in Thailand Brenda C. Murphy loved God, but it wasn’t until 1992 that she fell in love with Jesus as her Bridegroom. Since then she’s learned to experience Him, “for without learning to use our spiritual senses we cannot touch the supernatural. My goal” she says, “is to flow through life dancing across the waters with Jesus as I touch the world around me with His supernatural love.”
