About Revenge and Chameli Gonzales
An epic story that spans many decades from 1860 to 1933. A love story like no other as a war veteran searches for the brutal killers of his parents and sister with only one intention; to exact bloody revenge and inflict the worst possible pain and retribution for what they did to his family. Unwittingly, he acquires a travelling companion along the way who becomes a thorn in his side and proves to be the orneriest, self-centered, troublemaking female he has ever met. Her name is Chameli Gonzales and over the years, he comes to realise, he needs her more than he cares to admit.
An authentic western that tells the story of a man and a woman who, though they cannot live together, neither can they live apart and despite being separated on many occasions, they always find each other again even though it may take years.
This is a gritty story of violence, humour, love, and sadness that takes the reader on a journey that spans thousands of miles and many years until the poignant, heartrending conclusion.

Ken Coleman was born in Derby England. Studied at Sturgess secondary modern school where his favourite subject was English literature. He served in the Royal Navy for a period of nine years. During that time, he travelled to many countries all over the world, including Iceland, where he was involved in fishery protection, and the Far East, where he spent many months patrolling the waters around the Philippines’ and Indonesia protecting sea traders against piracy. An avid reader, he took to writing late in life and has so far, self-published thirteen novels and a book of poetry. The first book, “The boy with the 40-year-old brain was his first attempt at writing a novel which, when published gave him a profound sense of achievement. However, his greatest love is the Western genre, but it wasn’t until after several trips to America where he and his wife travelled through many western states including California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Kansas, and Colorado, that he felt confident enough, being an Englishman, to attempt his first western. The book, “Revenge and Chameli Gonzales,” became a good seller on the Kindle site and received very many 5-star reviews. Since then he has authored more books in a series of sequels.
