Outlaws chase silver. Cults summon gods. The desert takes the rest…
Imagine taking Sergio Leone, Bone Tomahawk, Blood Meridian, DUNE, Mad Max, and Hellraiser, throwing them in a blender, and seasoning the dish with Seth Hobbs’ signature worldbuilding. You might get a glimpse of the dark epic that awaits you.
Haggins “Hard Bargain” Daggerbie is a notorious train robber with a pitch-black past. To cross a merciless wasteland and reach the Far West Coast, he and his gang of hardened criminals must embed themselves as scouts within a massive army expedition led by the ruthless Colonel Pathus.
Their target? A teenage girl named Marigold Morningcane, who holds the key to a legendary fortune stolen from the Sendyne Treasury. But Marigold is trapped in a region tearing itself apart. To the south, Ophidian the Viper King rules a bloodthirsty snake cult fueled by a mind-altering venom. In the cities of Little Sister and Aspiring Peak, a tyrannical prophet named Journey sacrifices the innocent to conjure cosmic, otherworldly horrors. Yet, he is the only protection for those seeking refuge from the wasteland.
As the expedition marches into the meat grinder, a sprawling cast of exotic characters will collide— parsons, gunslingers, labor leaders, cutthroats, madams, and many more. In this lawless wilderness, secrets are weaponized, alliances are bought in blood, and every character will confront a terrifying truth: “The desert changes a man, in ways he never imagined, if he survives at all.”
Seven Serpents Assembled is an unforgettable, macabre thrill ride that masterfully fuses the gritty tension of a Spaghetti Western with the visceral dread of cosmic dark fantasy. It is a poetic, hyper-violent exploration of trauma, greed, and the heavy price of survival that will sink its fangs into your skull and never let go.
