Emily was a young girl when she married the rich and wealthy Thaddeus James. On the surface, everything seemed to be rosy, but Emily was dissatisfied. Longing for the arms of the only man she really loved, the ginger dame still thinks of what would have been five years ago. A stroke of fate brings a tragedy to the doorstep of the James household with Thaddeus’ father’s demise. Now, Emily has to return to her hometown where he still waits, the man of her dreams.
The more she tries to hold back her romantic and sexual desires for Andrew Cole, the harder it gets. Her sinful desires grow more potent with every meeting she has with him, but she knows her faith reprimands such behavior. The dichotomy that rages on between the two sides of her heart spurs on. Everything, however, is not as it seems, and Emily begins to realize her hometown holds much darker secrets than she could have ever fathomed.
Will Emily be able to sort out her feelings from what is right? Will she be able to solve the mysteries that lurk in the crevices of Oldtown? Regardless of what happens, one thing remains clear: Our red-haired lass is in for a unique, mysterious, and peculiar experience.

With her trusty cat, Rosy, by her side, she passes time by writing stories that come from the heart. Like Robert M. Pirsig said, “Boredom always precedes a period of great creativity.” A loner like her was naturally alone most of the time, so she was constantly overwhelmed by her imagination of the horrific, intriguing, and mysterious kinds. Eventually, she decided to channel her innermost thoughts and feelings to prose. Initially, it was a means to clear out the jumble and seemingly endless roaming in her mind, but it soon grew into something bigger.
At times, she wished there was someone she could share her stories with, who would understand her and reason on the same wavelength as she does, but Cecilia was afraid of what it might do to her reputation. Now, though, Cecilia is ready to share her personal, deepest, and darkest works with the world.
