Christen Bensten is a mom of three living just outside of Washington, DC. She started her blog and small, women-owned business, Blue Egg Brown Nest (blueeggbrownnest.com) in 2002, which gained national recognition. She was profiled in The Washington Post as well as many design magazines, including Cottages Living Magazine, Southern Living Magazine, Arlington Magazine, freshstyle Magazine, Vintage Living Magazine and is included in the book publication of Southern Style.
When she is not writing or painting furniture, she is fostering loads of kittens through various shelters in the DC Metro area.
