Interview With Author Stephanie Mease
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
Im a new Author from Belfast who has just published my first book. As a new Author I have only published one however I am in the middle of writing a new one that should be ready to release by July 2026
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
My Beautiful Battle – a memoir of strength and survival. I am a survivor of domestic violence and have been suffering with PTSD for the past six years. My husband inspired me to write by book during a recent hard time dealing with my mental health, he sat me down and asked what was going on as I wasn’t myself. There was so much that happened to me that I never told anyone and it was eating me up inside trying to deal with the trauma myself. That was the day ‘My Beautiful Battle’ was created. My aim when deciding to publish my book was to reach as many survivors or current victims to help them gain the ability to create a new world outside of their abuse but also to show that finding someone that shows you your worth is actually possible and that it is okay to let yourself be loved.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I wouldn’t say so no, I brainstorm on how i want my book to look but thats normal. In my current book I’ve created lives for my characters that I end up changing when it comes to writing the book.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
I absolutely love reading Harlan Coben and my favourite author is Kimberley Chambers.
What are you working on now?
I am currently working on a new thriller/crime book
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I have several social media pages that I use to promote my book, also I have my Beautiful battle on Amazon to buy in three formats. I have also applied for AM publishing to help me promote my book, amazon ads and have submitted my interest in running an ad with Belfast Live.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
To never give up your dreams no matter how hard it is! Writing the book is the easy part! It’s getting your name out there that’s the more difficult part.
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
‘One days not seven’ it was a saying my gran used to say to me growing up, meaning it may not happen today but may in a week, a month or a year.

What’s next for you as a writer?
I would love to think that I will fulfil my dream in becoming a well known author but for now I’m just enjoying the journey bringing my new book to life and promoting a very important message with my memoir.
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
The brothers, family man, born evil and the wronged all by Kimberley Chambers. Four fantastic books that I could read over and over again.
