Lucius is a regular underdog; a depressive man, lacking perspective, who suffers from severe insomnia.
His virtues? He can draw really well.
He can also invade dreams.
“The Dream Maker” is a thrilling new sci-fi novel that tells the story of Lucius; a young man who is in a low point in his life, trying to find a meaning to his daily routine.
After three nights without sleeping, Lucius’s body collapses when doing a presentation at his work. He seeks treatment and checks himself into a clinic, where the doctors experiment on people by putting them to sleep in high-tech beds that capture images from dreams and project them into monitors, so they can be watched live.
Soon, Lucius discovers that when he is in a session at the same time as other volunteers, he can invade their dreams.
Encouraged by Carl, the director of the laboratory, Lucius accepts the mission of breaking into people’s minds and then tries to help them by battling their issues.
On his quest, he meets Lyla. A mysterious young woman, whose story reveals itself slowly but powerfully, and who inspires Lucius into improving his new abilities.
He enters an astonishing universe filled with horror, adventure, drama, and puzzling situations, that never fails to amaze but also leaves him standing over the line between reality and imagination.
Struggling with his condition, whether Lucius is going to succeed nobody knows. However, what they are sure of is that Lucius is going to unveil the secrets of everyone around him; and perhaps, some of his own.

Igor Pinheiro Bedê was born in Fortaleza, Brazil in 1978. Just over 4 years later, he was in a theater with his parents, watching “E.T., The Extraterrestrial.”
He claims to remember the experience.
A story-lover since childhood, he used to watch cartoons and then play with his action figures, planning the plot just like an episode of television; with a beginning, a middle, and an ending. It gave his cousins and friends a hard time but in the end, it was worth.
Igor developed a love for film, videogames, and then books. Combining these interests with his love of music, he built his passion and inspiration.
He went to school in his hometown Fortaleza, escaping when he was 17 for a period of 8 months to New Jersey, USA, where he started to learn the English language.
In 2014 due to personal and romantic reasons, he took on a new challenge, and moved to Spain.
Igor has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Specialization in Audiovisual and Electronic Media, and a Diploma in Scriptwriting. He completed his studies in writing for television and cinema through several workshops.
“The Dream Maker” is his first novel. This new writing adventure has been in the works since 2013, it started as a script for a short film, but the idea grew, and it deserved exploration. The book is published in English and will be released in Portuguese and Spanish soon. He plans to release his other scripts as short stories on his website.
He lives as an immigrant in Madrid, surrounded by his family, Charlotte (his Stratocaster), three fish, an orchid, and a small turtle.
A constant will to cross the ocean — to see the other family and friends — fuels his craft.
At this moment, he is either working on his writing, playing the Blues, or walking the streets.
Most certainly, he’s daydreaming.
