About The Ghost of Downing Street by Mervyn Lovatt
Some doors should never be opened.
Protection officer Garrick Townsend arrives at Downing Street expecting routine. Instead, he uncovers whispers of a dangerous truth woven into the heart of British power.
There are rumours of ghosts. But Garrick discovers they aren’t what anyone expects. They are echoes of history — waiting for someone to listen — and the forces in play are older and stranger than any political party.
As Garrick peels back the layers of a centuries-old crime, he begins to realise that the past is not set in stone. If you could re-route history, would you? Should you? What if it got personal?
Atmospheric and thought provoking, The Ghost of Downing Street is a gripping thriller reminiscent of John le Carré, exploring the chilling cost of power, and what happens when history itself becomes the ultimate weapon.
