JOHN ELLIOTT KAY attended school at Union University in Jackson Tennessee, earning degrees in history and psychology. He married his wife, Andrea, the summer following graduation and moved to Chattanooga where he earned his MAT. The following years he taught all subjects to state custody children at a behavioral management facility where he discovered his love of storytelling and writing. Kay used his own stories to challenge his students to stretch their imagination and introduce invaluable lessons of forgiveness, love and mercy. It was during this time when the ideas of THE KING’S ELITE was first jotted down. Under the scrutiny of a brutally honest audience, THE KING’S ELITE, was molded and crafted into a story intended for high school students, but has since evolved into a novel even young adults enjoy.
Now Kay stays home with his four children Owen, Elliott, Ian and Ada. Kay continues to write between naps, homeschooling, lunches, soccer practice and dirty diapers. He is currently writing The King’s Elite & The Ebon Crow, the 4th and final book in the KING’S ELITE SERIES.
