Brie Fyre is a primloc…not that her parents ever thought to tell her. Then again, parents are funny that way, aren’t they?
The seventeen-year-old’s life is forever changed when she meets two mysterious new kids, the stunning yet heavily scarred Chloe Martin, and her wolfish stepbrother with icy eyes, Alex Stone, at her boarding school, Blackstone Academy.
New faces may not be so new, after all.
After a party in the woods takes a dangerous turn, Brie is dragged to Prim-Terra, a world where magic reigns king and prophecies ring true. In order to survive this ruthless world and find out the missing pieces of her past, she must adapt to life in a dangerous game of power struggles, ever-changing alliances, and the occasional bewitched vine trying to make you a midnight snack. And with the fanatical High Lord hunting her to complete an ancient prophecy stemming back to the Age of the Gods, the girl must seek the help of the very people who dragged her to this world as she learns to play a dangerous game of life, death, and love.
As the hunt begins, Brie is forced to decide what role she shall play—hunter or prey?

Born in New York, Madeline attended Fordham University, where she earned a B.A in Communications and Media Studies. It was during her time in college that she discovered her love of creative writing. However, it wasn’t until after graduating and embarking on a trip across Europe, where she walked the streets of Verona under Juliet’s balcony and drank coffee in Les Deux Magots (a favorite of Hemingway), that she became in-spired to write her first novel, The Return of Light.
