Author Bio:
Dr. Priscilla Wacaster, MD, is a family practice doctor from Arkansas. She lives with her husband and 3 cats in the forest where she loves to read, walk in the woods, and watch sci-fi. She has worked in home health, urgent care, and outpatient primary care. She and her two adult children have Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 1, also known as brittle bone disease. She lives within walking distance of her older sister, who has a disability. Dr. Wacaster has worked for the past ten years as a state employee assisting adults with disabilities. Before that, she was a homeschooling mom for 20 years. Starting in January of 2000, Dr. Wacaster and her husband full-time RV’d for five years with their two children (ages 2 and 8 when they started traveling). They visited 41 states before settling down to run a campground for 12 years. She lovingly cared for her mother, who was on hospice for two years prior to her mother’s death in 2024. She was also the primary caregiver for her father, who died in 2026 after a few challenging months of quick decline in health. Now, she is practicing what her parents taught her in hopes of living into her 90s like they did!
