Interview With Author Tina Double
Tell us about yourself and how many books you have written.
I am a middle age mother, wife and new author. I’m currently on a path to better mental health and want to help others as well. I’m working on a collection of journals and prompts for people that struggle to stick with things. I’ve written 5 books.
What is the name of your latest book and what inspired it?
Moments that Matter…I am working on creating a gratitude journal that I can look back on with pride. I wanted this to be a way for someone to chronicle their journey of kindness and empathy. I’m always open for suggestions on how to improve my journals.
Do you have any unusual writing habits?
I am a quitter! I can put down something I was working on and pick it up months later to continue it. Most of my works were started years ago.
What authors, or books have influenced you?
Mel Robbins has been a big inspiration with her “Let Them” theory. It’s helped me to learn to work on myself and not worry about others as much.
What are you working on now?
I’m in a lull so I’m waiting on my next inspiration.
What is your best method or website when it comes to promoting your books?
I’m always looking for new ways to promote. I took a mental health break from social media. While it’s been wonderful for my mind, it’s hard to promote my hooks in order to help others.
Do you have any advice for new authors?
Just jump into it. As long as it doesn’t feel like work and you are enjoying yourself, don’t let anyone convince you to stop!
What is the best advice you have ever heard?
Follow your head, not your heart and you’ll go far….Mom ❤️
What are you reading now?
About 18 different self-help books…I am a big fan of the Gottmans.
What’s next for you as a writer?
Hopefully something that will help someone. If one of my journals help just one person, it’s all worth it
If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and allowed to take 3 or 4 books with you what books would you bring?
A great journal, of course
