About To: Current Occupant
Misrouted, motherless, and melancholy make for Mail-order mayhem.
Ted owned a home and a gold mine. Lavina Randall would have been a fool not to say yes to his marriage proposal and jump the first train traveling west. Unfortunately, Ted did not receive her response, sold his home, and headed east to find investors for his mine. But as long as this mail-order bride had hopes of her fiancé’s return, she intended to cling to them like a forty-year-old spinster.
However, that postal mishap landed her in the orbit of Cliff Walters and his family. Cliff was a quiet giant whose entire world revolved around his twin daughters. That was until the saucy southern stranger threw the planets out of alignment. The melancholy he felt for his dead wife had not allowed him to contemplate love for eight years. Now it lived in his shed, answered to the name Lavina, and haunted his dreams.
Milly and Tilly Walters, motherless from birth, saw in Lavina a friend, a teacher, a helpmate for their overworked father. And yes, dare they even dream of it? A new Ma. What wouldn’t these two darlings do to ensure their future happiness, and why did Cliff allow himself to become involved in their plot of deception?

I grew up on Georgette Heyer & Barbara Cartland. I loved the history as much as the stories. When I started my journey as an author, these greats were in the back of my mind. My books, therefore, have an old fashion look and feel to them. I am a lighthearted, simple woman, and my writing reflects those attributes. I was born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of Idaho and I love my state, it is full of history and adventure. I do not take you to places I have not been or researched and try to give you an emersion into the time and place and use humor and simple stories to reenact the struggles and triumphs of the period.
