Author Bio:
I’d like to introduce someone who is funny, charming and good-looking. She couldn’t be here, so you’ve got me instead.
I’m Aaminah Amin and I’m the CEO of a company called 30-Day money school ltd. I worked as a Financial Consultant for 5 years. When I completed my degree and got the job, I thought I knew everything there is to know about ‘Finance’. Turns out, ‘Finance’ and ‘Personal Finance’ are two very different things. I was fortunate enough to be in an environment where I could learn about these things, from the experts in the game. I studied, read books, took courses. And eventually quit my job in July last year. I launched 2 businesses that I am truly passionate about. I paid off all my credit card and student loan debt by age 23. I am now a full-time entrepreneur, with 5+ income streams and on track to retire early.
My goal is to help others do the same. Especially those of you just starting out as ‘adults’. It’s hard. It’s overwhelming. And I get it. I want to support you as best as I can.
There are tons of excellent personal finance books out there. So why did I decide to write another one? Because when I began my journey, I found a lot of the books too difficult to read. I wanted to create something with humor, easy to consume and understand. Something targeted specifically at the college/university students and young adults who haven’t even been taught the basics. And more importantly, something actionable. I didn’t want to just throw lots of information your way and let you decide what to do with it.
That’s why this is called a 30-Day Crash Course. Each chapter addresses a particular topic, and then there are actions to take at the end. Follow the ‘course’ and you’re bound to see a positive impact on your finances by the end of it!
