Author Bio:
W Huxley Oakham writes short fiction about the quiet architecture of ordinary households and the objects that quietly outlast us. Outside of writing, they have a passing fascination with the history of forgotten Victorian patents, the sort of inventions that promised to change everything and vanished within a year. Short story collections include What Time Keeps, and The Cloisterham Mystery, a steampunk finish to Charles Dickens’s unsolved The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Currently at work on the untold origin story of The Hound of the Baskervilles, tracing how Jack Stapleton’s plan first took shape. New work is always in progress.
