Author Bio:
My husband and I live in a tiny beach town on the Potomac River in VA. It's a place no one ever wants to leave so it's no wonder two of my three grown kids are also included in the population of about 200. I'm also "Nina" to five of the cutest, sweetest grands ever. (So I guess that makes the population 205 🙂
I've experienced a lot in 71 years, including owning a few businesses, and even became a flight attendant (for one and 1/2 days…don't ask! lol) I love to sing, play the guitar (and a little ukulele), and just recently, teaching myself the keyboard. Over the years I've written original music, personal essays, inspirational stories, long and short plays for both adults and children, (which have been produced and some have been published) and a half-finished screenplay. but of all the things I'm inspired to write, messages of faith and hope are what I'm mostly moved to put on paper. This book is totally different than the typical things I write, but was inspired by and dedicated to the real Buddy, who true to his character in the book, is very excited and loves that people have asked him to sign it.
I write stories for 'kids' of every age that are warm, thoughtful, and honest. Some that have meaning and explore the deep questions of faith and hope, but also stories that make room for lots of laughter and even a bit of silliness. ~melanie
